Mt. Zion United Holy Disciple Church: 1021-23 Central Ave., Chester, celebrates the 24th pastoral anniversary of Elder Otheo J. Savage at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Bishop Newton A. Pullian, pastor of Littles Memorial Temple United Holy Church, Philadelphia, is the guest preacher, accompanied by his choir and congregation.

Siloam United Methodist Church: 1148 Upland St., Chester, holds Sunday morning worship at 11. United Voices of Siloam render the music, and the Rev. Herbert N. Gibbons, Sr., delivers the message. Thursday evening prayer service is at 5, followed by Bible study at 6. Remember the sick and shut-ins with prayers, cards or a phone call.

St. Daniels United Methodist Church: 315 Edwards St., Chester, holds Sunday worship at 9:30 a.m. Christ Servant Minister Marquita Miller brings the word, with Min. Towanda Tilson as worship leader. Christ Servant Minister Susan Coe renders the music. Family and Friends Day is celebrated at the 9:30 a.m. service Sunday, July 24. Min. Georgette Peterson is the guest preacher.

Trainer United Methodist Church: 3705 W. Ninth St., hosts teaching and sharing for all ages at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, followed by prayer and praise service in air conditioned sanctuary at 10:45. The Rev. Jim Ford brings the message “Eutychus’ Embarrassing Experience,” assisted by Dot Loeffler. Nursery and Junior Church are available. Legacy Clothes Closet is open Fridays from noon-2 p.m. Donations of food items are received weekday mornings for distribution through Food Cupboard.

Trinity United Methodist Church: Eighth and Butler streets, Chester, holds Sunday worship service at 9:30 a.m. Communion is served on first Sunday of the month. This Sunday, the Rev. Jim Ford brings the message “Eutychus’ Embarrassing Experience,” assisted by Jaime Taylor.

Unitarian Universalist Church of Delaware County: 145 W. Rose Tree Road, Media, holds one service at 10 a.m. Sundays through Labor Day. This week, Ruth Hendry speaks on the topic “Haiti, To Help, Fix or Serve?” Since 2012 the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee and the College of Social Justice has brought more than 25 groups of volunteers to Haiti to learn about just recovery models, after the 2010 earthquake, and to support projects initiated by local communities. Ruth Hendry, an active member of UUCDC, went to Haiti in January 2016 with the members of WellSprings Congregation as a part of the CSJ Haiti Beyond Recovery program.
